Those are not always in the store, unlike the wishes. And they really are a very high price to get a past PL, when you can get it in an "all-terrain" build (typical 8/6/6 build for example, or inquisitive build etc) in a couple of days with an iconic.Heroic PL wish= +20 heart
Not to mention with a +20 Heart you have to relevel your toon. With a Wish you dont need to.Those are not always in the store, unlike the wishes. The +20 hearts are there to totally change your build. We need a more reasonable option that is permanently in the store for PLs. Also, why should a heroic PL have much more cost than a racial one?
OP suggested Iconic not Epic. Why do they need to be sold at all? We can already freely choose our epic past lives. Why not heroic past lives as well?
Because it's their idea of "fiscally responsible", sadly. And we all know that they are items that would sell. Why do they need to be sold at all? We can already freely choose our epic past lives. Why not heroic past lives as well?
Best suggestion in this thread so far. Would give us total freedom to choose anything we want from our reincarnations.I am not interested in more Wish for Memories store items. Those items should not exist. They are an extremely unfair burden on some players versus others.
I fully realize that games such as DDO must offer artificial obstacles for players to overcome. Forcing a player to progress a character by playing not one, but dozens of characters he or she does not enjoy is taking this principle to the extreme of unpleasantness. Then charging the player to take away the extreme unpleasantness is slimy. Again, I fully realize that some obstacles must exist. That is the nature of these games. Taking a fundamentally pleasant experience--developing a character through a leveling process--and then turning that into something extremely unpleasant in order to generate revenue is wrong. It is egregiously wrong because the company can generate money in support of a pleasant leveling process. This is pain with no reason to exist.
Upon reaching level 30 and resetting to level 1, players should have the ability to chose one Epic and one Class Past Life Feat, one Epic and one Racial Past Life Feat, one Iconic and one Class Past Life Feat, or one Iconic and one Class Past Life Feat. If a player does not own a particular Class, Iconic character, or Race, that option does not appear in the list.
This would allow players the freedom to play characters they actually want to play at all times and allow Standing Stone Games to sell all other existing products in support of a pleasant leveling experience.
Yeah. That should stir the pot for the weekend. *sigh*
I'll take your suggestion a step further. They should give a BtA token on TR that awards those past life options you listed so one can advance alts by TRing a main or vice versa.I am not interested in more Wish for Memories store items.
