This isn't really about melee vs casters, just like I said earlier looking objectively at nuker enhancement trees Alchemists are lacking the MCL increase which they should have. Do you have any argument against this except "alchemist strong enough already"?
For me the #1 thing is not DPS or utility I think alchemist are very strong relative to other casters. I don’t play them because bottle healing sucks. Too many failed targets. If they gave an option for the healing bottles to use the bottle smash animation to heal around yourself I would take that over a couple MCL.

They (and arti & dark hunters) need to be able to make cure admixtures uninterruptable; they can't be quickened so there's always risk of them get interrupted which is never good when healing. They either need to let us quicken them or add the interruption protection into accelerate.

This is an appropriate change to the alchemist class versus the rimstrommers here that are pleading for more power.

I'd use do play a lot as alchemist, is my favorite class along with artíficer. But since the nerfs. I'm experiment other builds, and right now melee is the strongest option. Today I play with a fire sorc in the party, I as melee killed faster then he's fire ball hits the enemies... I imagine If he was Alchemist. The super slow even with quicken bottles would never hit, never!

Would love some buffs on alchemist as +2 MCL and more bottles cast speed. Even before the nerf, when I played as alchemist and have friends in party as druids or sorcs, my bottles almost never hit enemies. They were to fast

Unless I'm missing something, I was at caster level 32 (Capped at level 27 by MCL) on my vial spells with the 2 Feats Pyrite and Advanced Pyrite Studies. I went to Fred and dropped both feats and my MCL dropped to 26 on all of my vials. With those 2 feats and no points in bombardier I'm at caster level 27 and MCL 27. If I fill out that tree and do not take T5 Augmentation I'm at caster level 30 MCL 27. So it seems you're right that taking T5 Aug does nothing and be skipped after level 20.
I think the advanced feat gives +1 MCL. If so, Its a good option getting both advanced feats using 4 alchemist feats to get them, the red and blue ones, forgot the names

Playing as dragonborn alchemist the MCL shouldn't be like bellow?
Heroic lvls: +20
Epic lvls: +5
Legendary lvls: +1
Dragonborn tier 3: +2 (element focused)
2 advanced alchemist feats: +2 (Crimsonite)
Total: 30, no?
Gonna try out next month

Sadly the feats don't stack, so with dragonborn you are at MCL 29 and with any other race at MCL 27.
