*sigh*

Take all those little itty-bitty bonuses and make them constant for VIP, then add the one-time every once in a while bags or whatever for multi-month renewals. That would give VIP some value.

This "reward track" stuff, like that new track stuff for LOTRO Legendary Items is a turn off, not an incentive.

so much this. no idea what people are whining about in a game that pretty much revolves around XP.
The main issue I (and my friends) have is that they've admitted that VIP needs more oomph to it, particularly after the free quest code giveaways. Now I think the quest codes were a great idea, and helps bring in new people and (hopefully) keep them. Problem is, that's a sizable chunk of what VIP was offering for it's $$. If there was a half price vip that was just the xp/movement speed I'd be all for that.

SUGGESTION: Vip lite: Half price vip without the 12 month mess. Gives XP boost, buddy boost, run speed, uhhh what else do vips normally get...well all that without the adventure packs lol.

There's a +20 Lesser Heart of Wood option on month 8 (Greater VIP Bag of Many Things)
Problem to me is +20 hearts are extremely valuable. All of my guys have one but I've only ever considered using one once in 13 years. I forgot my alt was going for class completionist and wanted to try out a build, so I got to 20 and went "oh crap I already have a monk life." I could've easily just tr'd him and took the loss, but figured I'd NEVER really need a +20 again so I used it. I think most people hoard it forever, juuuuust in case they make a mistake like mine, or, give in and use it to just change 1-2 class levels.

Why is this so convoluted? Who made this list? It absolutely ignores nearly everything that players actually requested. no one in their right mind can figure $15 or whatever it is for a month of sub equivalent for a 300 sent xp gem in one case. You are lying if you say thats good value - you dont have to be vip to feed random named crap to your gem for free.

These are just additional rewards for stacking months of VIP. Not the thing why you get VIP, but why you stay VIP. This is not the VIP content you pay that $15 each month for. On that note... SSG update the VIP content too when you're at it.

While some of these look nice others are like getting weekly code for lasting ele resistance potion... That gives 10 points resistance.

Meh at best.

Not that I had high expectations but if I were not a VIP this would not convince me to become one...

See SSG...

This is the issue.
Current daily gold dice is better, much better, MUCH BETTER VIP reward than half a year loyality rewards together.

Edit: this further confirms my claim that whoever is making monetization decisions in SSG is hilariously bad at their job

I am going to be a VIP with or without this loyalty program. Unfortunately, there isn't much here that I feel would help me convince a new player or a non-VIP friend to start paying for it. The mount looks cool, but no one is going to want to wait 12 months to get it. I would have an easier time convince people to pay $10 a month to watch Cricket.

As I see every month gives something which do not need coding at all. We get items we dont really need or bonuses/buffs we can play without.
What players would like to see is QOL and system improvements. Not items and cosmetics.

is this in addition to the existing xp and speed bonuses and free quests and everything else we get for VIP?

When I first woke up and saw the bag of hardly anything I thought... meh but ok (as I thought we got everything in it).. I then read it properly once my brain decided to join the party.

SSG really? 300 sent XP? That is a joke, who thought that was a viable option in a bag we only get to choose ONE item of? We can all just literally go run something right now with a high chance of getting a named item and feeding it.

To be honest both bags are fairly lack luster but at least that elixir is something worthwhile. I just truly don't know why you guys didn't just say "here is a whole bag of stuff", the backlash on that would have been far less imo.

We want to keep subbing (well I know I do) because we want to keep playing (which in turn keeps the lights on at SSG), help us, help you!

New Always-Available VIP Perk!

We’re adding a new always-available VIP perk related to spell swapping. While you are VIP you can swap spells in any public area, and you don’t have a cooldown when changing spells at the trainer.

Does that mean that spontaneous spellcasters like the sorcerer can change all their spells at once, multiple times a day? Do you realize, SSG, that this completely eliminates one of the few disadvantages of being a spontaneous caster? Do you realize that prepared spell casters like the wizard are actually already penalized because you unfairly favor super specialization? And now you give one of the few generalist caster perks to specialists?

No, you have to think about this.

May want to reconsider having a 12 hour elixir of discovery (unbuyable, extremely limited availability) competing with a bunch of buyable items for the 8 month. It'd just feel bad selecting any competing option.
Also personally I'd suggest making the lesser bags of many things a bit more valuable, about on the level of a +3 heart, as it stands it is all negligible offerings nobody is really excited for but if we could select things like alignment changes and +hearts it'd at least be interesting as a means to try out different builds.

I like the general direction (e.g. some fluff and some permanent improvements accumulating with total time as a VIP).

Would have preferred to see something in recognition of time spent as a VIP up to this point and would quibble about some of the options (yeah, I just don't see ANYONE picking the 300 sentient XP thing) but overall a nice improvement... with room to grow in future years.

Maybe as the plan goes forward you could include a longer term component (e.g. 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, et cetera) and incorporate past VIP time into that. The store has pages and pages of transaction history for me, going back many years... so you obviously have SOME records even if they are not complete.

P.S. Best thing in the list... the new 'Crafting Reward Token'.

I've got multiple complete stacks of most collectibles, but there are a handful that only drop in a few specific quests run at a few specific difficulties that I seldom do. It's always a pain to have to go and farm those exact options repeatedly when I need a particular collectible. Finally having some way to just get what I need... priceless.
