Lastly, I would hope the professional YouTubers/Streamers are excluded. Nothing against them. I subscribe to many of them and enjoy their content but they have a financial interest which could be considered a conflict of interest. For them, spending money amounts to a business expense.
I would disagree. I think their opinions would matter just as much as anyone else. Also, "financial interest" is a bit of an overstatement. Most of them barely make anything. A couple of them make a living off it, but just barely. I think most of them are just like anyone else and just enjoy the game.

I think the biggest difference is, they'd have to be much more careful about not accidently breaking NDA. Some of them can get to chatting, and go off on topics about the game that may or may not end up referencing things they seen in Player's Council discussions before they realize it.

It says your game account can be banned if you break it.
The NDA says no such thing.

It says:

Your participation in the DDO Player council is voluntary and carries with it a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement in addition to the normal terms of service, EULA, and community guidelines. During your participation in the DDO Player Council, you will have access to non-public information concerning the Game, including without limitation the Game design, look and feel, computer software, game concepts, storylines, features, screen shots, characters, graphics, audio, images, virtual items, Feedback, business methods, updates, release schedules, information about other players or other information that is not generally known (collectively, the “Confidential Information”).

The Confidential Information is proprietary to Standing Stone games (or its affiliates, publishing partners, licensors or licensees), and you agree to treat as confidential all Confidential Information of which you become aware in connection with your participation in the DDO Player Council, regardless of whether it is in written, oral, electronic or other form.

As a participant, you must maintain all Confidential Information in strict confidence, may not disclose or permit access to Confidential Information to anyone other than Standing Stone Games, or discuss Confidential Information with anyone except within the DDO Player Council’s private discussion boards located at www.ddo.com/forums.

For sure you will be kicked out of the PC if you break the NDA, though.

Its is not directly in the NDA but it's on the DDO website.

Council members have access to a special section of the DDO Forums where developers will post proposal threads looking for feedback, and a Discord where we can engage in further conversation. Players Council members are legally obligated to accept and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to participate. Violating the NDA can have serious consequences, including having your game account permanently banned.

EDIT: Forgot about our announced timing, the survey remains open through February 28th.

Thank you to everyone who applied! Looks like we have had about 280 applicants so far, which is great!

We will notify applicants through the information provided in the application if we accept you into the program. If you don't hear from us, sorry. Maybe next time! We do new applications every time we do this, and anyone and everyone is free to reapply.

Will we be allowed to feast on the hearts of our enemies?

All desserts are evil and must be destroyed.

I'm going to say that if we ever do decide to expand the list of baked goods that players can destroy in-game we probably have enough of an internal list that Council feedback would not be required. I mean we don't even have donuts.

Shouldn't it be going for another week?
You expect them to follow their own deadlines? LUL. They just put out an xp boost for this week, it started a day early with no announcement and was only active on SOME servers. Gotta keep our expectations low.

would apply but it's gonna be too much cognitive load personally to keep track of what are secrets and don't want to risk breaking any NDA by accidentally spilling the beans! heh

I really dont understand why anyone would apply just to have every bit of time you spend typing or reading or anything to be just as effective as to find the highest mountain in your local areaa, climb it, and scream your review and thoughts and ideas to the heavens.... it will have as much affect as anything you say to them on the outcome of what they're working on.

How do you know that?

To be fair, proper psionics is usually a balance destroyer in D&D or, on the other end of the spectrum, almost indistinguishable from magic so as to be quite pointless. I don't blame SSG for not wanting to go there. I do love me some AD&D psionics though.

agreed, and if they ever made psionics it would just be another spell caster using a different power source and they would ddo-ify about 1/4th of the good psionic spells and make up or just go ahh close enough for a bunch of others lol

Helping out with concept development, product feedback, and testing would be a lot of fun. I imagine it as a kind of evolution from selfish pursuit of personal gratification to selfless service for the greatest good of all. Getting to know the people behind the curtains who make everything go would also be really neat. Good luck to all the selfless people who want to make the world a better place. :)

Oops, yes, sorry about that. Just got back from some time off, forgot what we'd said the deadline was. Reopened!
Just too fatigued for it now, or I'd apply, so good luck again to the applicants !! It's a fun ride in there and I miss it, but my energy is diminished, and what remains of that energy needs more personal focuses.

Mournlands was harsher. More fun in some ways, but it was far too insular.

honesty I had Magic the Gathering Wilds of Eldraine in my head when I wrote that...but more edible mobs would be feytastic.
