What I would find acceptable: Kobolds, Bullywugs, Goblins and Modrons. Maaaybe Duergar, but not if it's the kind that shoots their beard at enemies.

New race is going to be those humanoid slimes, that can shapesift to humanoid or slime form. When you go into dungeons, you never know what slimes are sentient rogues awaiting to sneak acid attack you or unintelligent slimes.....

Something that's not ugly. If it has to be exotic, what about Pixie? Gets "flight" via automatic floating form. This probably also saves a ton of animation cost as it does not need a walking animation.

We are missing another strength based race and so maybe lizardfolk could fit the bill (they are also dragonish), similarly kobold think that they are related to dragons (but not dex based please).

It's obviously Tortle. It'll get +50% damage but only move at 30% speed; it'll be the ultimate anti-zerger race.

FR Drow sounds more like a Racial Variant anyway

I'd love to see another Construct race, to expand on Repair builds. Maybe something as simple as Warforged Scout. Maybe something more exotic like an extraplanar Mechanus race. Not sure what'd go with the Myth Drannor canon, though...

Or possibly even a native-undead race, just to give some more utility to Negative builds and unlock it from /3 wiz or DA or 15 Lock

Iconic is probably going to be Dragonborn Sorc, for obvious thematic reasons
