It's time to vote for a monster! Take the quick survey here: https://surveymonkey.com/r/MonsterVote Survey runs through April 4th. The archive of today's PAX East presentation will be on our YouTube channel soon, we'll let you know when it is ready! #DDO
I'm hoping Carrionette will take us back to Ravenloft.

Carrionette would be cool if they could do something decent with Soul Swap. I doubt that they can do much though within the tolerances of MMO players. Intellect Devourer has similar issues. Taking over player bodies doesn't seem like anything that SSG wants to get into. I feel like voting for either of these would leave me with the same sense of wonder that the doppelgangers* have left me with.

Ettin. That is doable.

* as in "I wonder why they bothered to call those statues doppelgangers".

Never seen this Carionette, seems a bit weird, Intellect Devourer has already been done in BG3 and the D&D movie, so I´d like to see the Ettin most of these three.

I'm with Sophie. More choices please! With that being said... I would choose Ettin first and Intellect Devourer second (I'd be interested to see how they integrate the IntDev's abilities into the game).

I'm pretty torn.

I chose Ettin but I've always liked Intellect Devourers. I had to look up Carrionette, possessed toy would really only make sense if we are finally getting more Ravenloft content. What I really feel is still a missing iconic monster from D&D is Bulette.

I had to go for Intellect Devourer here, but I'd be interested to see how DDO would do Ettins as well. (Carrionettes, not so much - personally I never really got the appeal of a "creepy doll"-type monster, as I don't find the idea particularly scary or interesting.)

I was traumatized and excited when I watched Chucky at the theatre. The closest thing we had before that was telling stories at the campfire about deadly dolls (I.e. Care Bears, My Little Pony, G.I. Joe, etc.) and the kid cartoon with murderous toys (although that one was lame and I think it may have came after Chucky).

Ettin is just a giant with two heads--nothing special at all. They need to have new special attacks making them different from giants and have enough hit points to survive long enough to use those attacks.

1) One-two club smack that really hurts.
2) Club sweep front and back at the same time, making it a 360 degree attack.
3) Knock down and smack that knocks down the character with the first club attack, then delievers a really good smack with the second club.
4) Club smash that catches the character between both clubs, like the logs killing the AT-ST on Ewok world.
5) Two heads means two charms or two instant kills to shut down.
Stuff like that.

Intellect Devourer is a psionic thing. If we are adding psionic things, we need psionics. Protection from Evil shuts down the monster so everyone will just run with that.

Carrionette is too campy. SInce the monster is stupidly powerful and Protection from Evil shuts it down, everyone will just run with that.

Totally sign me up for a doll as a pet that follows me around as a helper. Maybe she can loot for me and leave junk in the chest.

Land shark would be great.

What I really want are monsters that requires special action on my part to fight. If equipping a piece of equipment shuts down the monster, that is no good. I want monsters that require me to maneuver, like, with the keyboard.

Getting really worried about More Draino. Please do not make even one non-player character or quest giver super snarky like me. No messing with characters. It needs to have good game play, like a long session of Torchlight. Love that game.

Apparently a lot of people find them unnerving! Me personally, though? Zero reaction. And I'm generally very easy to scare, so that's saying something.

Out of the three, intellect devourer. I like Ettins but we deal a LOT with giantkind in this game already. Carrionette is awesome, but if we revisit Ravenloft, I want a domain other than Barovia.

Bullette would be awesome.

I'd like to see more classic monsters like the cockatrice, chimaera, various nagas, banshee, basilisk, roc, roper, etc.

My vote is for Intellect Devourer... they are so cute!

And feel free to add Elder Brains too, if you ask me :D
