Loot items have random combinations of features. Meaning I haven't found one that eg is made for specifically fire-based action/resistance by combining only those related features. I just started to get familiar with crafting and it seems that it's designed in a way that makes it impossible to make such specialised items.I´m not sure I understand correctly, but how is crafting random ?
Probably means certain prefix/suffix/insightful can only be certain items, ie trinkets (the master of all pre/suff/insig) but having said that, the games contains too much obsolete crafting and cannith crafting is kinda meh at end game, named loot sets supersede and obsolete cannith (looking @you Dread bone crafting)i dont get what you mean?
I can loot a +8 str of repair or i can craft the boots i want of +8 str +3 ins str of ff?
what would you rather do?
Oh, you don´t have to find a specific item for that.Loot items have random combinations of features. It is designed that way. It isn't a free for all where you can just put any effect on any item. Many of the stacking effects wont fit on the same item. Trinkets are pretty flexible, but everything else is limited.Loot items have random combinations of features. I sincerely hope they update it again. It's still useful, just far less than it used to be.At this point I am just waiting for the next Cannith Crafting update so they will once again make it useful (like the last Cannith Crafting update did at the time).
Yeah, I use those exact goggles from level 1 to 9. Once I hit 10 I put the Master's Gift in the Ravenloft goggles, but still keep the crafted goggles on me for the rest of my life if I need True Sight (mostly for lower level secret doors).I have a complete leveling gearset from 1-32 that uses named items. I still use ML1 Cannith Crafted goggles with Persuasion and True Sight, slotted with a Master's Gift. It's that good.
Cannith crafting is, like many things in this game, a bit confusing at first but overall solid in implementation. The problem isn't cannith crafting, so much as how OP named gear is.
That said, at end game I tend to use one or two CC items. It's most useful for filling in gear slots in leveling gear sets.
