Any Bets On What Classes Will Get Next Archetypes?

Wiz badly needs it seeing as 1 tree is functionally useless. Sorc I'm not really sure what you could do archetype-wise but I can guarantee it'd be worse than vanilla(extra bad after the last round).

Wizard, Fighter, and Barbarian would be nice. Sooner or later they have to do the premium classes and people will complain.

In PnP, Rogue has a hell of a lot of variants. My guess would be that Rogue is next up.

That said, if you ask me what classes need it in DDO I would say Wizard and Fighter first, and then maybe Artificer.

Sorc maybe some implementation of wild magic with 2 trees but removing all savants? Though I imagine that might be hell to balance right.

Removing the Savant trees would make sorc unplayable. Unless the the new trees also add some sort of immunity stripper. How often do you see wizard nukers? Never. They are either palemasters relying on insta-kills or EKs.

That said, some kind of "firebrand" archetype for sorc could be a lot of fun.

Arcane Trickster as an actual Rogue Archetype would be swell.
I know there's a LOT of other archetypes that would fit for Rogues, but this one came to mind because it's one of the first prestige classes ever released.

For Wizards, I know it probably wouldn't fit today's run-n-gun gameplay, but I'd like a Geometer specializing in trap spells like fire trap and explosive runes.

For Fighters, because we're not that likely to get the actual class, I'd like to see Samurai introduced. Now that Flame Blades and the likes got fixed to get better as you level, giving Fighters slightly less feats for the power of an Ancestral Daisho? Cool.
Shame is it'd be REALLY hard to make it "feel" new beyond this.

Barbarians? The most iconic classes (to me) always were Frenzied Berserker, which we already have, and Bear Warriors, which Druids kinda took over.
I'd like to see DDO's take on Lion or Wolf Totem Barbarians. Being constantly on the move giving them bonuses they lose if they stop running would make their gameplay unique at least.

Honestly, none, until it's revamped.

They could have set the Archetype tree in the class (which would de-select the other tree), and skipped the out-of-class
system entirely. The only reason to set it up this way (needing more programming), was to generate grind, and sales from
adding another avenue of TR's. They "promised" no Leg TR's as "not to add to the PL creep" and found another way.

We saw that scam on day one, give us SOME credit. )

I suspect Wizard will get Arcane Trickster, with Trickster replacing Eldrich Knight. Though I also wouldn't mind if Archmage was just split into Enhancement trees for each of the schools, with Pale Master becoming the Necromancy tree. This would work like when Virtuoso got smooshed into Spellsinger. And, I think it would be easier for SSG to balance in the long run.
Sorcerer could probably stand to get Divine Soul. Strip out all of the Savant trees and replace them with Divine Soul and Mystic Theurge

I'd like to see electric Sorc but with a steady state Palpatine electric attack that arcs around, grabs onto multiple targets. Maybe like a toggle if you have open off hand to throw up hand and automatically send out Palp electricity out of your open hand while you can act as normal otherwise. Perhaps a SWF synergy in the racial tree too. Advisory: complete homebrew here.

I could see rogue being possible, either as an arcane trickster type that trades off some sneak attack dice & a few skillpoints in return for a limited spell list (spells proccing from sneak attack dice is already present in shadowdancer which is part of the arcane trickster thing too), or alternatively a more brutish enforcer type who gets more outright combat ability, maybe bonuses with club-type weapons & a few daze, stun & general dirty fighting themed abilities.

Another possibility & that'd let them capitalise on the recent film is to make a wildshape archetype, it could be approached as a druid that specialises in animal forms & loses the season's herald tree, elemental shapes & elemental spells but considering we never see Doric using magic other than shifting I think it'd work well as a barbarian archetype with the few animal form spells druids get granted as 0sp, cooldown-restricted feats instead of an actual spell list or populated in a new wildshape tree that blends elements of nature's warrior & nature's protector, then also have ravager (animal is eating faces) & frenzied berserker (very angry animal) enhancement trees.

Totemic barbarian would be a good one too & open the door to the Talenta Plains halflings with their dinosaur companions.

As already mentioned , I would like to see more fixes to get what we already have working properly before building on top of it.

The totemic barb does sound interesting. Barb and Druid have many similarities.

I would like to see Wizard, Rogue, and maybe Monk... hubby has always wanted a Drunken Master but there is also the Tattooed Monk Prestige maybe they could do a spin on that with something similar to Dragonmarks. If they went that route though they might want to make some cosmetic or armor available so that players could see as many of their magic Tattoos as possible.

I'm not certain where you came by this information. They have been assiduous about barely commenting on the forthcoming Legendary TRs, they neither confirm NOR deny. However, the separation of Epic level XP from Legendary Level XP was deliberately done to divide them as currency for the separate TR systems. We will eventually get Legendary TR when there is enough Legendary levels and XP to acquire. Its going to happen. The only pseudo promise that may have been said is that we will not get Legendary TR yet, emphasis on yet.

Aside from our guesses and desires anyone remember if they ever said when the new batch comes out? I swear I remember something like "more coming this year" but not sure.

This is not the title you're looking for
I hope they'll slow down a bit. Most of the archetypes have been pretty meh, and I've only done them to get the PLs for my gotta-collect-them-all disorder. They haven't really added anything to the game for me in terms of build options.

A real new class would be much more preferable to me, something that would actually expand my build options, and not just something I have to power through for three lives to get another minor bonus.
