So let me get this straight. Ive been a loyal DDO player since beta/release and have purchased every expansion upon release. How is it fair that people who have made these purchases get a lousy 10% pot for gear that has been farmed out for months already whie people who havent made purchases get an entire expansion pack worth way more then the 1 pot??
This is actually a great move to keep player population up, and I say this having bought almost all content on DDO. I prefer seeing fresh players coming in and staying, rather then being a lonely envy struck uncle scrooge clinging onto my doubloons.
Old content should eventually become free or deeply discounted. All good games do this. In fact I find the deals offered by Elder Scrolls Online even more aggressive/interesting than with DDO as you can get deep discounts only months after the initial content release.
If you bought an expansion with DDO points, then you have had months or years to enjoy / collect and reap rewards before the F2P crowd.
If you bought the collector's packs, then you have tons of goodies the F2P crowd will never get including perm hirelings, tomes, teleport clickies, cosmetics, enhancement trees, races, iconics, storage, bags, etc... So a lot of that is money well spent if you enjoy the game. So what if they give access to the adventure pack ? I still don't regret having purchased certain ultimate bundles and that value is still great.
Cheers
