Making PvP appealing to more people

Thats the cool thing about the challenge arena, If people dont follow the rules than you just dont invite them.
Exactly this. I can't think of a good reason to cheat in a contest like this. If you cheat to win, you didn't really accomplish anything.

Run it your way and see if you can get others interested. Events like this are great for the community. Thank you for thinking of ways to make it fun!

Every ability should work.

But it would also be nice if there was some way not to be one-shotted...... by... every... single.... attack. (works both ways.)

Only game that I ever enjoyed PvP in was in the early days of SWG before Jedi and speeders when rebels were in Anchorhead I think and Imperials were in Bestine and we would run between fighting sometimes dozens of players of course with large numbers there was lag. I think fighting for control over a large area with large numbers of combatants would be the only thing to attract me

Yeah, there seems to be interest but still hard to get people to actually join in.

Agreed, but the only way that would happen is if they reduced the amount of damage people do to other players across the board. but then that would make some spells useless.

If only that was possible. Closest you get is capture the flag. with 6v6

no more attention to pvp than we already have d&d just isn't a game for balanced pvp any changes made for arena could bug and affect live play plus they have limited dev time and resources that should be used to.help the maximum number of players

Have you considered having folks use pre-designed builds? That would even the playing field. Teams can design strategies around which builds to employ and in what ratio.

You do vet status and just the junky items that come with them.

I have thought about that. Ive also thought about doing team comps. Like only allowing 1 caster, 1 ranged, 1 healer, a tank, and 2 melee dps or something like that for team stuff. The problem is its hard to get people into it if they have to invest too much time before hand.

No reaper points
Why? There are only a couple of reaper enhancements that even do anything outside of reaper mode.

Also: Just why? This doesn't look like "Making PvP appealing to more people" this looks like "Making PvP more appealing to me and maybe 4 other people"

Because it will just make it required for people to have enough reaper points to get the extra HP. 99% of people dont like pvp because its imbalanced. So the point is to make it as close to balanced as we can. If these rules make it less appealing to someone then they werent going to like pvp anyway.

Vet status and a path, then there's no effort required and everyone is at the same level of...uh... build skill. Put some tryhards (no slight intended) out of their comfort zone ;)
